The last building is being excavated and the park is graded for sod. The new road from the north has been built, but not pave yet.

I really like them. Now I am not comparing them to L tower Trump or the Ritz. But for suburban buildings I am loving the brick. Really wish the north west side of Dufferin gets developed soon like it has plans to and wish the south east side would as well. That Shoppers is so out of place. I don't really like Lawrence square but that is where they should have gone if they wanted to be in the area, that or the bottom of a condo. Hopefully Shoppers eventually recognizes it's sitting on some nice land and it gets built like it was supposed to.

Lanterra owns the land that the Shoppers has been built on, and I assume that Lanterra will go ahead and redevelop that spot at a point in the future when it makes economic sense for them to do so.

Its my understanding that Shoppers is closing their store in March and relocating to the rebuilt plaza on Lawrence.

The sales office is being relocated next the McDonald parking lot.

Tower 1 is at 2nd level with forming of supports for 3 underway.

The area between the tower and Shoppers has only the support columns in place for the bottom level of the underground parking.

McDonald could be history by 2016 or sooner, depending where they are relocated in this development.
There is no more McDonald's where the condos are, but that McDonald's relocated to a small location with drive-thru at Dufferin and Risa, south of Glencairn but north of Briar Hill.

Boy you miss the party over a year ago for MD disappearing from the area.

Rarely I am south of Lawrence on Dufferin to see what taking place there. I expect to see an MD here next year or so since there tons of retail to be lease there now.

Feb 20: More up on site

The base is in pace for the 2nd tower crane and could be going up this week. See no retail in the completed building so far.

I'm not exactly expecting an L Tower at Dufferin & Lawrence, and I like the mix of colour for the area. But the overall scale, clunky podium and soul-sucking columns at street-level are straight out of the Peel Condo Guide circa 2002.
