I don't have time or interest in a detailed response. Read this:

The guy that wrote this is working on his first book, "The Toxicity Of Liberalism" and his work is featured on Fox News & The Drudge Report. (both known for their honesty and integrity, right?) So this is who you get your news and views from? I must say, that explains a lot. (no agenda and great credibility there, right)

OY VAY!

Your comments are absurd bordering on harassment. The further you spew belligerent hate the weaker your credibility becomes.

That is what Doug is doing right now. Both Fords are side stepping direct questions, however, in Doug's case, he feels that raising his voice gives his statements more validity. He kinda reminds me of the stereotypical tourist speaking louder so the native understands them.

Have you ever had issues with weight? Do you think they are easy to mange?

Poking fun at a man's trouble with weight loss is similar to poking fun at his religion or sexual orientation in my opinion though to a much lesser degree.

Yes I do, and have for decades. It is a hard thing to deal with, however, he made the decision not just to make it public but also a sideshow, and maybe on purpose to garner empathy/sympathy.

Respond to questions then. You said "I just don't get your hatred for the mayor.".

Exactly why are you surprised, given the number of scandals and disasters he has himself created.

Let's take his plan to build subways, that he completely failed to pursue once he become mayor (after the report indicated that the money wasn't going to magically be provided by big business).

What about his demand that the city repave around Deco Labels?

What about his attempt to buy the parkland near his house?

What about his mis-use of city resources, staff, and vehicles to run his coaching gig?

And yet you have had time to make many posts today.

And really ... your proof is a link to the website of Judi McLeod at the site that the mainstream media have referred to as a "whacko news site" and even a conservative like Kevin Grace said writes like an "emotionally incontinent ninth grader"?

You can't really tell us that you take Judi McLeod seriously do you?

A retired Metro Police drug official who worked the city in the 70's & 80's phoned in to the Bob & Doug show and claimed he never heard Doug Ford's name come up during his years.

It was made quite clear in the G+M article that there was no mention of Doug Ford in the police's records. So it's not surprising that Doug's name wouldn't ring any bells, especially if the drug official had nothing to do with the pocket of Etobicoke where Doug was working. It's quite believable that a lot of the cops weren't familiar with him, but that doesn't mean the law wasn't being broken. One of my friends in high school was THE go-to guy for drugs at our school, and had done/tried everything under the sun. Never had the tiniest run-in with police, his dad was a highly respected doctor in the city, and unless you actually knew him well beyond his facade at school, you'd have no idea.

So I guess the point here is, one can easily be a drug dealer but be completely unknown to the cops. Being white, wealthy, and the son of a widely respected community member gives you one hell of a leg up on those who are typically associated with the drug trade, whether by geography or demographics.

CN Tower:

The best you can quote is some article in Canada "Free" Press that starts right off with socialist this, socialist that? Please, I expected better than that. Oh speaking of which, how is that littering and homeless problem coming along over the last 2 years?

And FYI, 519 and Rainbow Health Network actually does some serious legitimate work/services with citizens as the beneficiary. More than I don't know, using city paid staff to coach football, divert TTC buses (which necessitates bumping existing riders off) to pickup said players or pulling city managers to bump up priorities for that wonderful 50th anniversary bash, perhaps? Interesting how the gravy just seems to squish from one place to another.

AoD

Agreed. Bad choice of support for balanced critiques of Miller. Just didnt have time to research my argument but frankly not interested either.

Bottom line for me is support most of Ford's agenda and none of his shortcomings and bafoonery. However, I don't think he has a crack cocaine problem based of the info that's been reported so far.

FWIW I consider myself extremely liberal and pro culture. I pay a lot of taxes in this city and just want fair service for my family in exchange and under Miller's regime I felt that spending was out of control and the garbage strike was the last straw for me. I also am a big supporter of the island airport which he tried to kill. So Ford did a good job and addressing my concerns though I believe John Tory would have been much better.

To be fair what he did with the parkland was completely legal, and he had no more advantages in the attempted purchase than any other citizen in the city.
When no other citizen has ever been successful at buying conservation authority land in Toronto, surely the sitting mayor trying to do the same is wrong, and is an abuse of power.

Though it's certainly minor compared to his other transgressions. And like many of his other transgressions, it is minor. But minor transgressions EVERY WEEK or more frequently some weeks.

I pay a lot of taxes in this city...
Hang on, that doesn't add up. A lot of taxes in Toronto? Given how much cheaper municipal taxes are in Toronto compared to other cities? Unless you are part of the 1%, we all pay a lot of taxes, so I don't see what that means.

And I feel that you, and I, should be paying more taxes for better services. (not a lot more, but my taxes shouldn't be cheaper than Oshawa!!)

I believe John Tory would have been much better.
Almost everyone believes that. I believe that a dead body randomly dug up from the cemetery, and installed in council would have done better. It wouldn't have made much different to what council has done this term, and wouldn't have caused the frequent embarrassments to Toronto in the international media.

When no other citizen has ever been successful at buying conservation authority land in Toronto

That's ridiculous.
Wait ... that's CrackMayor's line? You ARE Rob Ford! LOL.

Seriously though ... why do you say that? That's what the conservation authority staff said during the meeting when he tried to buy the land. Why do you doubt them?

Not like ford got the land. He applied to purchase the land through civilian routes, and the fact that he was mayor played no role in the attempted purchase.
