Actually I got a better one - David Miller was able to stick to a fitness regime and lost significant weight gained during his tenure. And he didn't a) have to turn it into a circus and b) fail miserably at the task.

Can you please tell us what major damage the garbage strike has caused to Toronto? I can't think of anything.

With Mr. Ford, on the other hand, I could write an entire university thesis on the damage he's caused. Beginning with his transit fiasco that delayed transit building by years and flushed millions of dollars down the toilet.

Have you ever had issues with weight? Do you think they are easy to mange?

Poking fun at a man's trouble with weight loss is similar to poking fun at his religion or sexual orientation in my opinion though to a much lesser degree.

Actually, I did, and I lost them. So did David Miller. Certainly we don't make it into public commitment and a quasi-public PR affair and then fail at it. Your point? There is no "wrong" in being overweight - there is everything wrong when you turn it into a circus for public consumption and then promptly get avoidant and jump off the bandwagon. And interesting you should raise those two other points...I suppose that pro-casino rant in front of a group of Orthodox Jews and those AIDS comments (nevermind the fag thing) is the epitome of sensitivity.

You just have to look at those high school photos to know they are just the biggest assholes.

And you just have to look at their present day overstuffed, narcissistic mugs to know that they are the same old uptight pricks they were when they were teenagers. Threatened by intelligence, art, ideas, culture, urban life, gay people, progressive people—anything that threatens their pathetic little world is the enemy.

I knew hundreds of these guys growing up. That hard rock stoner, feathered hair, sport jock/drug dealer high-school scene was something as common as dirt in Toronto in the late 1970’s early 80’s.

It staggers me that the grown-up version of those angry, insecure, bullying small-minded young men has achieved any position of prominence in this city. These guys are just the most regressive, inbred, wretched version of manhood imaginable. The absolute worst of masculinity all rolled into onto one big fat package.

I pray for the day we will finally see the back of their fat homophobic asses. The clock is ticking very loudly for these blubber boys, but it’s excruciating waiting for their demise.

I have to go through my year book from high school to read my classmates names, because I don't remember them right now. The names of other students from the same school, even reading them they don't stir memories.

For that cop, he'll have to read through his notes (if he kept them) or his colleagues notes to read the names. If they were over 18 at the time, that is. He might remember colleagues, but suspects? Would he even remember stopping some kid's name because he (allegedly) was speeding his car?

And FYI, 519 and Rainbow Health Network actually does some serious legitimate work/services with citizens as the beneficiary. More than I don't know, using city paid staff to coach football, divert TTC buses (which necessitates bumping existing riders off) to pickup said players or pulling city managers to bump up priorities for that wonderful 50th anniversary bash, perhaps? Interesting how the gravy just seems to squish from one place to another.
