Rob Ford's Toronto

His history of violence is making me think he could have had alot of non- ford related issues and that it was coincidental that ford was there. What ford was doing there was perhaps not as innocent as constituent care, but i doubt the shooting is part of it.

I keep thinking that Ford had no part of what happened and that it was one big, really coincidental coincidence. Then I remember all the lies from the past several years.

Just happens to be one of those areas where Google Street View took super grainy photos ... anyone want to go check it out? Probably just a mail drop c/o some other company.

I did go by SPW some months ago (off hours), and they did have some kind of neon/LED window signage indicating their presence.

Speaking of drive-bys, did I mention here that I saw a Monte McNaughton sign on RoFo's front yard? (Maybe I did--can't remember which discussion realms I've shared whatever data in)

yep you did.

^^ yep, I think it's been determined to be the same guy. Don't think it means much; Rob will pose for a picture with anyone.

The article has some details about the robberies

According to police, Siyad is connected to a violent robbery in January of a father and son waiting at the bus stop in front of 2063 Islington. The duo were approached by two men, who allegedly pistol-whipped then shot the son in the abdomen, all in front of the father.
“They were totally innocent victims,†Taverner said.

In the February incident, three men allegedly forced their way into a residence at 21 Richgrove Rd., near Martin Grove Rd. and Eglinton Ave., armed with a handgun, then ransacked the home and fired shots before leaving.

Here's a crimestoppers video of the second robbery; I believe A. Siyad is the third suspect, in the red jacket.

The ITO indicates Mohammed Siad lived on Richgrove too.
A review of the interceptions on Mohamed SIAD's line during the morning hours of May 29th 2013, reveal that his phone remained in the area of his residence at 7 Richgrove Drive, Toronto. There were no interceptions that confirmed that he was kidnapped.
(p. 86)

The ITO says Anthony Smith was killed in retaliation for robbing some other gang. Maybe it was Ahmed Siyad's turn. Though if A. Smith stole that gang's illegal guns, they wouldn't exactly want to report it to police. The Richgrove Rd robbery obviously was reported, though it may have been reported by frightened neighbours. Or even if the victims did report it themselves, they might not have told the cops everything about what was taken and what else goes on between the 2 parties. And they may not be above a little "street justice."

It was Liban Siyad that A. Smith was talking to on his phone the night he was killed. (SlYAD instructs SMITH 'Okay halal meat', which is believed to mean "dead meat" or "kill him" -- pg 14). Note the word "instructs" -- as if he is the one calling the shots. Now read the robberies (allegedly) committed by A. Siyad: pistol whipping and shooting -- they may or may not have also taken something, but it sounds like robbery was not the point, but to terrorize the victims.

It's kind of looking like the Siyad brothers are big-time players in that area. When we hear about dropped charges and possible deals with Lisi, we wonder if the prosecution is doing so in hopes of getting "big-fish" Rob Ford. But is he a big fish? Or just a high-profile fish? Maybe the people TPS/the Crown are really interested in getting locked up are the Siyad brothers. They seem to be very dangerous.

I would have assumed more from Robbie since he had to return all those contributions on account that he quit.

The Fords are holding a fundraiser May 14 to recoup some of the $800,000 they spent out of pocket on the failed mayoral bids. Doug Ford says he spent about $900,000 in his few weeks in the race, about $600,000 of his own cash. His brother doled out $500,000, about $200,000 from family funds.

Does that leave anyone else thinking of this?

I wasn't necessarily implying that Ford was directly part of the shooting, but I bet he's not many degrees of separation away from it.

At first I would have believed ford put out a hit. I'm not convinced that he hasn't done so before. In this case I think he was scoring dope or letting the locals know he still has access to their home in case anyone is thinking of talking. I also think the police downplayed the murder victim's past because the locals won't report what they saw once it is thought to be gang related. The honest hard working people in those projects are living under siege and the crooks live by a code of silence.

Eaves said they plan to continue being a local employer, based in Rexdale. I don't see local councillor Rob Ford here at committee.

No sign of Councillor Rob Ford at executive committee for the Woodbine casino debate (Woodbine is in his ward) #TOpoli

As if he would bother to represent local interests.
