I got confused too, mostly because the first letter came after Fortino was all homophobic to KWT at City Hall.

Olivia was more spirited in this debate but her public speaking skills are terrible. I'm not talking about her accent, here, or her lapses in grammar; I'm talking about her style.

In debate, she needs to put Tory on the spot. In her rebuttal, she frequently asked him a hardhitting question. BUT, she didn't stop talking! She kept adding other questions until the moderator and Tory finally broke in. That gave Tory the choice: which of 3 or 4 questions were easiest to answer. Or to lament, as he did more than once, that she had taken gone overtime and he could only give a partial answer.

She has to learn to deliver a message (or a challenge) and stop talking. Instead, she prattles on to fill up her time and it dilutes her message. It also dilutes the effect of her attack on Tory's platitudes. Tory is learning to play her. She lost today because she wasn't focused, didn't get her message out clearly, and didn't know how to use sharp, short sentences or sharp questions. By talking on and on she diminished her credibility and handed the debate to Tory.

I attend Toastmasters and see some grievious but easily conquerable flaws in basic debating skills. Does she not have competent speech advisors? Here was a "fair play" debate without hecklers and she still muffled her own message.

"Fair Play" only in the sense of process. All the questions addressed to her, marginalized her. They were about food programs, how to reduce crime, the arts, etc. Tory questions involved finances, city growth etc. Still, you have to play with the deck you've been given. Olivia has not been properly prepped to engage successfuly in these brinkmanship debates. I blame this on her team. If they smarten up, there is still time to present her as a superior candidate to Tory. I don't see it coming, though.

One of the reporters at his presser, who were asking decent questions on the whole, did pose this to him. His answer was that he and Rob, while agreeing on many things, are not the same person and have differing opinions in some matters.

Why wasn't the lady referenced here holding offensive Ford pic ( by the way it wasnt me that ripped it up although it seems so)or the screaming lady constantly interupting that people complained to police about kicked out ..and plastered all over the newspapers ..why? Cause they are not Ford supporters...

The 'offensive Ford pic' was a caricature of Rob and Doug as Tweedledum and Tweedledee.

What a drag ...now tomorrow cause of police wrong doing and media s misrepresentation. I have to prove to my employer I was not "discriminating" although I did say we were proud Ford did not attend Gay Pride but did attend Jesus in the City...and i did stand up to ask how candidates will help prov govnt with violence in schools like putting God back in..? In light of fatal shooting ...and since they were discussing about youth jobs I stood up and asked ..not being given oppo...rtunity to write my question down..moment I mentioned God they wanted me out..I was not obnoxious ..rowdy..or interupting while candidates spoke ..like those near me but they got to stay cause they were not pro ford nor pro God..the police had their eyes on me from moment I entered waiting for opportunity to escort me out...I was interviewed by many yet all they put on TV is quick shot of police bullying me out...PS I'm the one that initiated youth safety on schools yet I'm depicted as the crazy one...if I was in there when Tory tried to bully Ford into saying Yes to attending Gay pride Sodom and Gomorrah parade ..I would of screamed say No to the Bully and Gay Pride say Yes to God

Was not obnoxious or rowdy, but would have screamed. Okay.
