Keep up the good work Timmy! You're making the Liberals look better everyday.

"Real people" in Hamilton don't support LRT, according to Timmy.

Whenever a Con talks about "real people" I cringe. What the hell is a "real person" and who the hell gave them the right to decide.

Real people don't support LRT

Not a downtown latte sipping elitist wimp like tiger ;)

I guess the Toronto Sun and Sun News Network also got it wrong too right?

Hudak made the announcement Sunday near the Davisville TTC subway station. He promised to begin work on the new subway line within 100 days of taking office should he win the June 12 election.

TOArea, he clearly said that and it's all over google news, I don't know why you would dispute it.

Another genius Hudak quote on how the proposed highway in Hamilton would be built:

"First things first, and that’s to get the engineering, get the property and get the highway built. And then you look at the different options on how you finance it."

Shouldn't you think about financing before building it?

Shouldn't you also be getting the land necessary before you spend millions on the engineering work???

So Hudak's economist is apparently an American Tea Party supporter and a published racist.

308: Liberals continue to rise while NDP support tumbles

Seat Projection (May 17, 2014)
PC: 44
LPO: 49
NDP: 14

It's looking like NDP support within Toronto has been absolutely destroyed.

2014 Ontario Election Projection

We have an election thread already. http://urbantoronto.ca/forum/showth...tario-Provincial-Election?p=865876#post865876

Oh wow. Well I guess the polling info is still relevant to here.

I wish the mods would move the other thread back to Toronto Issues where it would get more attention.

The polls contradict each other. One day a poll comes out that shows the PCs in the lead, the next day one comes out in favour of the Liberals. Who knows what the actual election result will be?

most polls are pointing to liberal gains since the election started, there have been 1 or 2 outliers though. Liberal majority is no longer out of the question anymore IMO. Still early though, but Hudak is already well on his way on destroying his chances..

I'd agree with you 100% if this were a single poll. But 308 aggregates and weighs the polling data from multiple firms to get a more consistent picture. This is the second time this week that the Liberals have pulled ahead of the PCs in 308's seat projections. The other times the two parties were tied. I think it's fair to say that the Liberals have gained significant support in the past week.

So with the recent announcement that he'd cancel almost all LRT's in the province, I've compiled a list of things Hudak wants to eliminate/cut/privatize and I'm sure I'm missing some:

30% tuition grant
Student loans for those who don't maintain a certain grade
100,000 public sector jobs
Almost all LRT projects in the province
LCBO
OLG
TVO
Ontario Power Authority
Ontario College of Trades
Drive Clean
Green Energy Act
Greenbelt
Healthy homes renovation tax credit

If he gets elected and succeeds in cancelling all of these things, I think there's a good chance we'd dip back into a recession.
