Short of someone donating several billion, Sheppard will not be built as a subway. The liberals don't have the money to do so, it's all tied up in other projects.

Maybe PC Feds in 2015, or by election in that area giving birth to another Liberal "Subway Champion"

The stick is pretty useless unless you have a carrot to dangle off it, that is unless you want to beat the horse with it. Then you end up with a dead horse and noone to pull your cart.

The BD subway is fully funded from the province, feds, and the tax increase. SmartTrack is part of the existing GO Electrifciation and Regional Express in 10 years the province just promised and funded. There's still $2 billion sitting there fully funded for Finch and Eglinton, and Billions more promised for the DRL. Just what does John Tory suggest be done with the money from the province that's already sitting on the table?
