    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Unlikely, I store my Presto card in an outside pocket of my cloth wallet and I have to press fairly hard onto most subway readers to tap through. A light brush doesn't work.

^The Pearson control tower makes an ideal stand-in for a dystopian reality detention facility.

This should no longer be a surprise. I spoke with a customer rep on my last UPX ride back in March (at the same time in the afternoon) and he said this is the normal time for increased ridership as a lot of flights depart in the late afternoon. I walked past the site last night and had a look at the current extent of the excavation. It is basically a trench to locate the hydro. They are installing a hydro meter at the east end of the trench.

About bloody time that the expropriation went forward. From the standpoint of the TTC also good to have a second exit in the subway station for fire safety.

I imagine some people wouldn't be satisfied unless they saw the Gantt charts, a CPM diagram and weekly status updates from the project manager.

One nice thing about a dedicated airport train service versus a regular subway connection is the addition of luggage racks and comfortable seating. Compared to say the Piccadilly line in London to Heathrow which has a very narrow subway car and less than optimal seating. I've been on other...

St. Patrick station has begun the process of installing new fare gates in conjunction with the construction of elevator access.
