    Toronto Tourism

No doubt London is stylish, but NYC is definitely more centred around appearance than Toronto. Given the average wealth of residents is far greater than that of Torontonians I wouldn't think it's much of a surprise that New Yorkers on average would be more concerned with something superficial...

    Toronto Tourism

My father lived in NYC for a while, and that's how he strongly feels. I've visited frequently and have many relatives there. If you think style is relegated to fashion victims on one street in NYC maybe you should take a walk along christopher st. and possibly a few other large areas in Manhattan.

    Toronto Tourism

Iunno, I'd have to strongly disagree with you, Torontonians as a whole are the opposite of fashion conscious, while image is very important in New York City even for the fairly poor. Whether this is a good thing or not is also a matter of opinion. It's not like I'm fashion conscious, but that's...

    Toronto Tourism

I always thought Toronto was always lacking in a romantic, stylish and hip vibe. I feel like that is the type of quality that attracts many tourists and the main reason Americans would pass up visiting Toronto for Montreal or Quebec City. Walking around Toronto, I just feel it lacks a certain...

    New Land Transfer Tax

I agree with you to an extent, but it is also clear Toronto is by far the most exploited and has the most legitimate gripe. As said in the article when municipalities with a population of 6200 (where a 1% increase in property tax would yield $18 000) need fundings of 2-3 million dollars to fix...

    Re/Max 2007 Real Estate Reports

Where are you getting this? I thought it would've applied to first time buyers purchasing a resale home (the large majority of homes), but not new developments, at least that's what is said in an Star article in the land transfer tax thread.

Minister's plan stirs up mud with neighbours

We're going from "who cares if 2 people buy 20 hummers as long as they're not driven it doesn't harm the environment" to "so what? even one electric car that is not driven harms the environment." C'mon now, 4 vehicles for 2 people is excessive and environmentally unfriendly, let alone 20 hummers.
