Does the VIA Canadian go up that corridor? Did it ever stop at St Clair station?

I'm sure this must have been asked, but are there any plans to paint the bridges once complete? I really like the look of the re-finished bridges further up the line, as part of the railpath. I think finishing these bridges with a fresh coat of paint, even completely covering them in local art...

GO will be posting the details surrounding their discount program towards the end of the month on their website. PRESTO doesn't affect or set transit fares, its simply a means of payment.

Yeah I checked it out too...the only construction along the corridor that I've noticed is the Queen/Dufferin project and some MOW vehicles moving spare/new track switches around in the corridor between Bathurst and Strachan. Haven't seen any sign of underpass progress yet...

Another benefit to the implementation of the presto/smart card/RFID system is that transit agencies are able to pinpoint exactly where riders board vehicles. The TTC would be able to determine that X amount of riders boarded bus route A at a certain stop whereas X-100 riders boarded bus route B...

PRESTO will replace GO's current ticketing system completely, once it is rolled out across the entire GO network (including bus and rail).

Is there any projected timeline on the Bolton line? I read before that the CP tracks would have to be twinned, seeing as though there is so much freight traffic passing through there currently.

A rail station used to exist above Queen and Dufferin, on the south side, it was the old terminus of the Toronto, Grey and Bruce railway. I believe that's what the stairway under Queen lead to as well, the station above. Apologies if I'm way off. Anyway, I know trains were shorter back then...

The Subway was originally interlined, or at least it was during the 60's, from my understanding. What was the reason that practise was stopped? It couldn't have been something as simple as "people were confused", was it?

Great pics, I was actually down at the CNE when they were constructing the 'rail-ramp' behind the locomotive onto the moving trailer, interesting stuff. It will be fun to see 6213 at the roundhouse once all the new tracks are done and set in the park.
