yes, this is phase two of the Lexington. These are updated plans I found on the Toronto development application mapFrom the looks of it, Lexington phase 2 perhaps.
I went to the mall recently and wow is the mall in a bad state. So many storefronts are empty. the food court was not busy, and the mall smelled. the stores that were open looked so run down. I hope the mall gets a new owner that could actually take care of the property.
Yes, there is another thread about that.Across the street, renovations continue at the Woodbine Racetrack ... I'm hearing this addition will be a hotel/entertainment centre...
Yup, the casino crowd often show up in the venues with a comped ticket, not necessarily knowing a band's music, and they are THE WORST audiences, even worse than the people who show up with corporate tickets at TIFF Galas and who have a deathly fear of emoting in public. Oof.The urbanist in me hates all these casino performance venues anyway. It really sucks revenue away from the central city and I doubt it is where the artists (and in some cases their fans) actually want to see them perform. I saw the Pet Shop Boys at Casino Windsor in 2014 with a bunch of blue-haired women. Strange evening.
