Donlands has a full service machines that’s not activated yet outside of the fareline. Kennedy has 2 reload machines installed next to the currently closed 57 Midland platform. Every station should have a full service machine by the end of the month.

Hopefully this is quicker and easier than obtaining a presto monthly pass online.

Perhaps the TTC will be able to stop selling legacy fare media come August - to coincide with the new 2-hours fare rule.

I highly doubt it. They would need a marketing campaign and public notice which has yet to be seen.

You can't eliminate legacy fare media on short notice it would piss alot of people off.

They can't stop selling legacy fares as the LUMs that were supposed to be available this year won't be available until the middle of next year.

They can stop selling metropasses, tickets, tokens, day passes, weekly passes, and probably the GTA weekly pass as it seems that isn't going to make it on Presto and is being replaced by co-fares with other agencies and future fare integration.

The only legacy fare media they still need to sell are cash fares, along with transfers.

They can still get rid of the pass vending machines and token vending machines, and replace the few metropass swipe readers on faregates with Presto readers. Just need to keep fareboxes and transfers/cutters/transfer machines.

Moving things to the Presto is going to take longer than plan for to the point end of 2019 should see everything on it, except for cash fare, not this year.

A lot of stuff like GTA, weekly & monthly pass phased out by end of 2018. Tickets and tokens should be gone as well by year end or early 2019 to allow riders to use them up or get a refund. You can put co-fare onto Presto.

What is going to happen to the day pass is unknown at this time for family, but on the Presto card for single user. I guess you can get a paper transfer from the fare machine showing a family pass like a 2 hour transfer using cash.

The 2 hour transfer is supposedly to starts in Aug on the Presto and have to wait to see if it happens.

Cash fare will work like it does on the new fleet and be at all station entrance that are man.

Bottom line, Presto will be the big issue how we pay and travel.

Presto has updated their website with locations that have the machines

That leaves us with:
Line 1 - Lawrence, Rosedale, Yorkdale
Line 2 - Christie
Line 3 - Ellesmere, McCowan
Line 4 - Bayview, Bessarion
The last time I was Bessarion over a month or two ago, they were being worked on. Haven't been to the rest this year.
