First time being inside since the name change, and a little disheartened that they covered up the murals in the upper level corners with just the charcoal-grey branding (and 100 level/upper suite level deck facing)...

Can confirm they’re red for Raptor games. The same colour switch happens all over the arena.

I'm all for bigger TVs, but the massive S logo is pretty awful. They're significantly reducing the animation and light that the glass extension provided in favour of saturation advertising. Reminds me of Kramer and the Kenny Rodger's Chicken Roaster sign.

I don't know what you are all complaining about, I think their use of branding is extremely modest as proposed.

Agreed. I've been to a Raptors playoff game with a brother and enjoyed watching the huge crowd assembled below. The "Maple Leaf Square" has been a big success allowing fans to watch the game outdoors and celebrate, but the additional logo just blocks out some of the views in and out of the arena.

Firedoors and a non-barrier free fire-escape staircase may be "functional," but that's about all it is.
