Updated architectural drawings were posted earlier this month on the Dev App site. The height was cut down to 49 storeys and the design has changed from an "O" to a "U". Really unfortunate.

That is definitely disappointing, but it could still turn out NOT to be like your average twin tower. Especially if anything like Picasso.

If Pier 27 can get bridges at what, 10s, I am curious as to what's the reason behind this project losing it at 49s.

I'll echo @interchange42's creedo here: this has far more to do with the developer than the architects. Cityzen is far more competent, ambitious and caring than Madison.

I didn't care for the O or the height of the bulky mass. I still don't care for the twin tower design plopped on a block sized podium. I really wish developers with large sites would do two distinct tower projects from grade to the tippity tip. Be better if the east tower was 120ish and the west tower was 180ish.

That's awful. I was really excited for this as it would've shaken things up in the area. The "O" was truly something unique to Toronto.
