8 June 2013: So I figured out this project: Take an historic setting, get an architect to knock off one of your existing proposals by a better architect (Lumiere on Bay by Wallman) and add a huge helping of cheese on top.
I really like the older building on the right--esp the extruded brick profile around the windows--what was the building's original purpose?
It is 3 storey above the setback, so with another 6-7 floors plus fancy mechanical roof it will be quite tall for the location. It is already visible from Yonge and Sheppard. A night shot from Aug 13:
I had a friend who worked at a restaurant at Yonge and Finch for a long time. Every once in a while he'd get some tourists come in wondering where the CN Tower was. They thought they were downtown.
