Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Should be exciting to see photos & videos of the LRVs, especially if they're run multi-unit with 2 or 3 car trains. I don't think we've seen anything but renderings & mock-ups.

Going to ask about the LRV barns on the Kodak lands. Will they have something there to test the LRV's?

The first TBM is almost at Oakwood. Allen Road is really close.

You think traffic at Allen and Eglinton is bad now. Soon they'll be removing the TBM from the west side of Allen, taking it over Allen, then reassembling it in the hole on the east side of Allen. Then, once it started boring again, all the equipment and dump trucks that are currently operating out at Black Creek will be start operating at Allen instead. Fun times.

How will the area from the west side of the Allen to the east side side of the Allen be tunnelled if not with the TBM and when?

It's basically just the new station there that'll need to be built later.
It's not exactly clear how they will do it, but it will involve some level of likely having to close the existing Subway while they build the new station underneath, but not until most of the rest of the tunneling is complete.
The same will likely have to happen at Yonge St as well.

Ahhh quit whining. That's not the right attitude buddy. You could learn a thing or two from the the Toronto Subway Song

Use Lawrence and Marlee to bypass the traffic.

TBM tracker updated yesterday. The second TBM has passed Dufferin, and the first one is about 550m away from the extraction shaft.
