Skyline from the west

Last evening. Reflections of an autumn sunset.

Driving back into the city today I couldn't help but notice that the skyline view from this direction has been vastly improved by the addition of the buildings in this boom. Also, I couldn't believe they replaced that rusted twisted old metal highway median with fresh new concrete barriers and resurfaced the pavement on the Gardiner. It's almost like the first time I've entered the city and thought, hey stuff gets fixed once and a while here.

Yonge St. (From Bloor down to King) with a blackened sky in the east:

And another autumn day display:

Here's a variety of western skyline photos I took from Portland & Stewart. I have a feeling one or more of these might have been posted before, but these are New & Improved thanks to Lightroom.

I keep coming back to this pic; it's like what the eye actually sees, just dynamically enhanced a bit. Wonderful.

I must echo Mustapha's sentiment. I'm assuming you shot this with the same wide-angle used for the Thompson Hotel image that I commented on. That lens gets some great, crisp shots. Nice work.

Thanks guys!

The photo Mustapha quoted and the terrace photo with the cloudy blue sky were both taken with the Canon EF-S 10-22mm lens. That foggy evening photo looked almost rendered straight off the memory card, even before adjustments. I love how it turned out.

Thanks for sharing those fantastic snowy airplane photos, Redroom!

RS: Good Sky shots!

RS: Good sky shots of Toronto from the W-I recognize Humber Bay and Mimico in the foreground of the first one. The snow covered ground makes it just a little more interesting....LI MIKE
