now the sun is taking about "rob ford kush". i noticed it on twitter a little while back but didn't think it was worth mentioning.

At this point, Wormington's Ford coverage might as well be an Sun-published advertorial a la Brett Halliday back in the day.

I'll bet Momma and Doug have been nagging him about it for ages. After surgery she probably convinced him it would make him "feel better". "Falsies" sound so appropriately FoFam.
 
FYI I'm using a trial version of the audio book app Audible to listen to Towhey's book, in case you want to give it a listen without your money going to him. They also have Crazy Town, so take your pick. You get one audio book free with the trial membership and access to it for 30 days. Then cancel before the deadline and it's free.

So far it's good--people who're interested in him solely for the scandalous stuff will find the first few chapters boring though.
 
Agreed. As is pointed out at the very beginning of Towhey's book - nearly all of the sordid details have already been released. He gives a lot of context and insider view of how the Ford's and the staff reacted to the events of his mayoralty (up until he was fired). I also formed a more sympathetic opinion of Towhey - yes the book is obviously biased, but there's enough in there for me to believe that Doug Ford absolutely loathed him, which makes him alright in my books :)

I think the only truly noteworthy detail I hadn't heard before is that the decision to cancel the council deliberations and voting on a casino at Exhibition place was made solely by (unelected) Towhey - Rob was too far gone at that point and just read whatever Mark put in front of him.
