I'll volunteer.
I've largely stayed away from this madness today and have worked behind the scenes. Besides speaking with Council staff, I met with a TPS source today regarding information that has begun to clear up over the last week. I became aware that media investigators know where Ford is getting his supply post-Lisi. Since I've heard it from enough sources, I'm going to assume that it's no longer a Police secret: He doesn't call prostitutes for sex. The name of the escort service is known to me, members of the media and the TPS. They're cornering Ford. It won't be long.
Often when I'm walking faster than the cars on King, or Queen, I get pumped about the elimination of the VRT. Not because I think it's a good idea, but because I'm amused that motorists don't understand that making driving less expensive means they sit in more traffic. The whole anti-transit pro car crowd, like Ford, love making their own lives more difficult.
Is the elimination of the VRT evidence that Ford saved the city money? Because that directly cost the city money, and it also indirectly costs the city money in the form of traffic. I suppose the Ford types will make an argument that they use the extra $60 to "stimulate" the economy, but it's hard to spend the money when you can't drive to the shops.
