'400' List Discussions: 400ft +, Status, Usage, Master Projects

Re: Toronto's 400 ft +

Is Murano under construction? Their ad in the Condo Guide certainly suggests so.

So... even if it's not now, I believe it will soon be, thus to the under construction list it goes.

EDIT: And what the hell. I saw an add for the Montage & Casa in the Guide. In my book creating registration lists with advertising equats to sales. No it may not be technically correct, but I'm confident enough in these projects to believe that the general public will be buying these units soon enough.

Re: Toronto's 400 ft +

Pinnacle Centre A is 40 floors, but it has a known height figure of 121 metres or 397 feet (I only include 40 floor buildings if the height is unknown).

It sure looks as though Pinnacle A is already more than 10ft. higher than the Waterclub, which according to Skyscraperpage is 387ft. Must just be an illusion.

Re: Toronto's 400 ft +

If I remember correctly, when the heights were first posted they were done so by MrMan. He said that the heights of the towers did not include mechanical:

Pinnacle Centre Tower A - 397 ft. - 37 - Construction&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp
Pinnacle Centre Tower B - 279 ft. - 30 - Construction
Pinnacle Centre Tower C - 384 ft. - 41 - Approved
Pinnacle Centre Tower D - 449 ft. - 46 - Approved

None include mechanical in their heights and it seems since then its been said that Pinnacle A is 40 floors which is what they advertise so who knows what has changed.

Re: Toronto's 400 ft +

Hmmm... interesting. But shouldn't the official planning report detailing their heights be floating around somewhere?

Both of these projects have been in pre-sales a while and have had brooker previews selling a significant number of units.

Re: Toronto's 400 ft +

I figured, but I'm sometimes tempted not to list a project as 'in sales' until anyone can walk in off the street and buy a unit.

Hey, I'll openly admit this list I'm creating is a bit subjective and could possibly use some more specific classifications. However I don't feel a pressing need at the moment to do either or those - I think it's going pretty well as it is.

Re: Toronto's 400 ft +

Out of all the lists floating around on these sites, this is by far the most accurate and most regularly updated.

Re: Toronto's 400 ft +

Also Canuck, here is the planning report for the MLSE towers. Heights and floor count are listed at the bottom of page 3:

www.toronto.ca/legdocs/20.../it028.pdf

MLSE South tower - 544 ft. (166.0 metres) 53 floors
MLSE North Tower - 506 ft. (154.2 metres) 49 floors

The exact heights are on page 11. You will need to zoom in but you can see them on the diagram layout.

Re: Toronto's 400 ft +

Thanx on both accounts (compliment & info), I'll update the list right now.

Re: Toronto's 400 ft +

i was at the leaf game tonight and they had a booth set up in the arena concourse and they had a drawing similiar to thay one in the city application and the height was 170 meters to the top of the mechanical penthouse and 161.2 to the top of the mech pent for the shorter one.so the height given in the application is only to top of last inhabitable floor.
dont forget that there is some roof element which no height was given on each of the towers.

Re: Toronto's 400 ft +

Interesting... ok, I'll update the info to reflect this data.

Re: Toronto's 400 ft +

^ Nice new renderings of MLS are up on the sales office that is u/c - The rendering look a lot better than what was previously posted and should alleviate some concerns that were expressed about ground level.

Re: Toronto's 400 ft +

In the application for the Bay-adelaide centre it says:

"Further, an increase in
height is required for Parcel B from 57 metres to 162 metres and for the Bay Street properties
from 137 metres to 243 metres

That means the 49 floor tower will come in at 162 metres or 531 ft.

I'm thinking of creating a few more lists below what I currently have to further break down hotels, commercial, residential, and mixed use towers. For the purposes of this lisst and not to get too confusing I'll say anything that has over 90% of it's space for one use, as single use.

Anyone spot a misplaced item, keeping in mind my arbitrary 90% threshold? Or do people find this threshold unreasonable? Feedback on it is also solicited.
