    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

The Evergreen Brickwork renovation was completely designed to be flooded and the office block has nothing important on the ground floor as a result.

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Hi, you can read a bit more of the rationale here. The three things that stand out to me as to the why: The aesthetics -- they wanted a showcase bridge Traffic calming -- they know cyclists will use a bridge, even if dedicated to pedestrians, so the "S" slows them down Accessibility -- the...

    Ontario Science Centre

I hate to make a car-friendly, suburb-friendly argument, but the OSC is much more convenient to get to from the 905 than any of the downtown museums. When I was a child growing up in Brampton, we frequently went much more often to the OSC and the Zoo than the ROM, and I can only think of going...

    Ontario Science Centre

I think it's a Science Centre/Museum thing. I've seen similar in London, Paris, and Birmingham (UK). They're often marketed heavily towards families and locals, which means they have limited re-visitability, and the touring exhibits tend to be niche. All three of the above were remarkably unbusy...

    TTC: Streetcar Network

From the East Harbour TOC Proposal: 3. TTC Infrastructure Agreement This is an agreement between the City, Toronto Transit Commission and Cadillac Fairview requiring Cadillac Fairview to construct TTC streetcar infrastructure as part of the construction of the extension of Broadview Avenue...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The Region also opted into Metrolinx's order for the vehicles, thinking it would save money...which it did but at the cost that the vehicles arrived nearly a year after all the infrastructure was done.

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

I've taken the TTC to Rebel a few times...and it's not in an ideal spot. And there doesn't seem to be any coordination between the TTC and Ink to get people in and out quickly. I hate to bring up London...but all of the venues here that are out of the way, there seems to be a standard...

    Brampton Transit/Zum

The 2024 proposal is now online. 501C is being realigned off the 407...and using the VIVA BRT lanes as a non-stop express? 104 will be discontinued once the 504 launches. New Brisdale drive route between Mt Pleasant and Mayfield Road. Lots of long-term planning for routes to follow...

That will be from Spacing's Disaster issue from 2012.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I'm struggling to understand why building the loop and asking riders to choose a service that best suits their needs is worsening service. Building the loop increases service coverage and services at least one more high-target destination in the Square One area (Celebration Square, Sheridan and...

    Toronto Hindu Prarthana Samaj | 12m | 1s | Hindu Prarthana Samaj | Sol-Arch

As a Hindu, I actually don't really like the trend of having only one style of temple and just replicating it everywhere. Many of the Hindu temples in the GTA are similar look, and they all use the same materials, etc. Churches have the same elements...but they use different materials, colours, etc.

    VIVA + York Region Transit

If you ever take the core route, you will see they have two, very different customer bases. There are a lot of people using the 501 to get to employment areas in Vaughan, and frankly any service that gets people not driving is a win for us all.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

The buses on Finch were unreliable because they were getting clogged in traffic, but also they were jammed full of people. The 36 runs EVERY TWO MINUTES at peak periods at Jane going EB, for example, and it was leaving people behind, in areas that are classified as some of the poorest in the...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Have you ever seen or taken the 502 Zum? #3 is incredibly warranted.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

There was a brief period, from about 2015-2019 where things were looking up. There were quirky businesses and restaurants setting up and Beaux Arts got a new director who was all for revving up the space. I think the pandemic basically killed the spark a bit.

    Brampton Bramrose Square | ?m | 68s | Starbank | Turner Fleischer

I am laughing at all that high density....and then a two storey TD Bank. But also, RIP Heritage, the best fish and chips in the GTA.

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Dare I suggest, maybe WaterfrontTO should be planning a permanent lookout tower in the Lower Don Lands...

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

I'd prefer more like the Tate Modern...unless we want the hyper dense development that followered Battersea.
