Outrage? Ford creates outrage so he can feed on it... This is the usual thing with public opinion - in general, the public CAN'T understand billions, but CAN understand "wasting" tens or hundreds of dollars. This creates the outrage that Ford needs to live and thrive.

You know what's more fun? Read the article, then read some of the comments to Flagg's post. The article is almost dead-on, when taken in the context of the comments from the IHTWOMRF denizens.

Ford would have won in 2010 with ranked ballots, given that he was already at 45+%. His issue now is that he will be hard-pressed to get to that level again - he'll need to get up there, as his "second-choice" factor won't be much for a long time.
