Looking a bit earlier in this thread, extending the Finch LRT toward the airport would be most ideal running down Hwy 27 and west on Dixon.
I've been living in Malton for the past 20 years, and running an LRT down Derry/Airport would not benefit our neighborhood, not to mention municipal...
For those wondering how the LRT will connect to Finch West station, from this presentation:
http://www.ttc.ca/About_the_TTC/Commission_reports_and_information/Commission_meetings/2010/Jan_20_2010/Reports/TYSSE_Finch_West_Sta1.pdf
The LRT box will be situated perpendicular to the subway box...
Is there any update on just when GO will start using the 407 station?
Do they not want to stop running their buses through York U in fear they'd loose those passengers?
Agreed on these accounts here. Those lights were quite blinding, there should have been a diffuser or it aimed away from the escalators.
The worse part is the distance from the YRT terminal to the subway, let alone to the TTC buses! And its all outdoors in the cold! I opted to cross Steeles at...

Haha that's not until the People of Ward 2 start fighting...

Westwood is still intact. The Zellers location is set to become the central square of the mall (as it will get redeveloped as "Westwood Square" over the next year). There will be retail/condo units, with a food court upstairs.
The new Wal*mart is in a new stand-alone building in the north...
I ride my bike, rain, shine or snow 1.5 Km to Malton GO station (10 min); because I don't want to pay 65 cents and have to wait for Mississauga transit.
Then I walk 2.1km from Union to Ryerson University @ Gerrard/Church (30 mins); because I don't want to pay a TTC fair on top of my already...

It would just take a slab of asphalt, some shelters and a pair of stairs to make a stop at Eglinton, but I guess we'll see if the demand exists when the line opens.
Thats just me... connecting the dots
