I totally disagree with some of these comments. I really wasn't expecting much when I first saw the drawings, but if you walk around the site, the attention to detail and quality are way beyond what I expected. I think it's a beautiful building.

Also, part of the deal when Options for Homes purchased the site from Canadian Tire was that the gas bar is permitted to operate indefinitely.

The problem is that the site is very contaminated due to the gas station being there for years. This was a concern with the Village By High Park as well, but fortunately due to the grade, most contamination ran off South, so it ended up not being much of an issue. The gas bar will likely remain...

Makes sense. I'm sure this is true, but with bigger parcels of land, a developer is going to be able to spread the cost of decontaminating across more residential purchasers. It's probably more reasonable than this small site.

The problem with the Canadian Tire gas station is that the land will likely be very contaminated, which will make it quite difficult to convert it to residential land use.

The first tentative occupancy dates begin this August, with all purchasers scheduled to be moved in by March 2011.

Oh, it's all planned. The builder just didn't sell them at the time of purchase to make sure that they didn't sell out of parking before selling out the building. You are not guaranteed the right to buy a parking spot or a locker in this development. They will be sold on a first come first...

One more thing: The construction of the slab and first level could be seen in the next month, as excavation of the one underground parking floor will be done after the ground thaws, and can be heated and enclosed by the above construction.
