TTC: New Articulated Buses (In Delivery, Novabus)

The Toronto Transit Commission is holding an open house at its historic Harvey Shop facility on Saturday, November 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All proceeds from the open house will go to the United Way.

Located at the TTC’s Hillcrest Complex, 1138 Bathurst Street, Harvey Shop is the major maintenance facility for the streetcar fleet and component manufacturer for subway cars and buses.

Visitors to the Harvey Shop open house can climb aboard the vintage PCC and Peter Witt streetcars, as well as the new low-floor accessible streetcar, the new 60-foot accessible articulated bus and the TTC Command bus. Volunteers will be on hand to provide a guided tour.

Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children.

I wonder why some of the side seating is of the old design, while some further up is of the new. The Viva buses in York have newer designed seats which fold up for wheelchairs, so I don't know if that is the reason...

Have been seeing one of these being used as a training bus by Lawrence West mall area, looks even uglier in person.

No, I meant on Bathurse station. Route 90 Vaughan at one point served from Bathurst station since Bathurst station opened, then when St. Clair West station opened, the A branch of 90 Vaughan operated from there, while 90 Vaughan proper still operated out of Bathurst station as a rush hour route.

Since then, Route 90 Vaughan is moved to St. Clair West station and loops at Northcliffe, rather than at Jesmond.

Compare York Region's Viva articulated bus to this one, it's no comparison.

To me it doesn't look much different from the standard TTC buses.

It's quite comparable. They are almost exactly the same shape.

So your issue is with how they paint every bus then, and little to do with the articulated model.
