I really want to see a video of the new streetcar operating!
What sound does it make? Is it as noisy on the rails? Etc..

More or less the same reaction everyone had when the Toronto Rocket rolled into the station for the first time.IT'S SO QUIET!!!

Reminds me of the reactions to the new Toronto Rockets.excited bystanders were “losing their shit” over the large, slick-looking vehicle.
Unbelievably quiet, unless it's negotiating a curve - just like the new subways.
That was ear-piercing!
For decades, the TTC used a system that squirted water onto the tracks, which serves as a lubricant to reduce the sound, but it doesn't work in cold weather.
I don't think water is going to help much. The wheels grind against the rails as well. Looks like a wheel redesign is in order.
According to a post on Steve Munro's site, the new streetcars are "self-lubricating" and that this feature was not yet connected. To quote Streetcar: "The new streetcars have onboard flange lubricators with programmed GPS coordinates. The fixed location rail greasers will be decommissioned when the fleet is completely replaced. I highly doubt that the LFLRV coordinates have been programmed in yet."Unbelievably quiet, unless it's negotiating a curve - just like the new subways.
