TTC Blue Night Network Service Upgrades

That sounds more like a ticket for more noise complains than actually serving any riders. Rathburn barely has any transit by 10pm and definitely don't need night service.
Sounds like a typical NIMBY excuse to get rid of public transit. With likely an all-electric bus (or hybrid bus) every 15 minutes? When the noise from Highway 427 in the area is much, much, much louder, and constant?

If your are going to throw a bus out at night, perhaps it should go to a place where it’s more needed. If riders are asking for it, I have no problem supporting it.

Why is the 300 Bloor-Danforth on Highway 427, where there are no pedestrians (normally), when they should be on streets where people are living on?

Because it's the night service for the Airport Express.

A better question is why are there no north-south night buses west Islington.

That is not the name for the 300 Bloor-Danforth Blue Night Bus. It is a "local" service, except along Highway 427. Unless there are bus stops on Highway 427 itself that we don't know about.

If you ran every 300A on street, you'll add 20-30 min on each round trip. The cost would add up quickly while gaining little riders and being an inconveniences to everyone going to the airport.

More like 10 minutes (via West Mall) versus 9 minutes (via 427), between Burnhamthorpe & The West Mall to Renforth Station.

The current 352 LAWRENCE WEST bus terminates at Sunnybrook Hospital. See link.

With the opening of Line 5, maybe it should be extended to the Leaside Station at Eglinton & Bayview?

And yet it provides express service to the airport.

Do you have a similar issue with the name of the 306 Carlton which (eastbound) has only 5 of it's dozens of stops on Carlton - heck, there's more 306 stops on Dundas than Carleton!

I always figured that since College got the name of the station, Carlton got the name of the streetcar. I think the two streets weren't even connected initially either, hence the current bend at Yonge.

From the 2024 Annual Service Plan...

Increase overnight streetcar service to mitigate storage constraints

Starting in 2024, there will be the need to temporarily increase overnight streetcar service. As TTC receives the delivery of new streetcars in 2024, there will be temporary overnight storage constraints as the modernization of Russell Carhouse and construction of a new streetcar storage facility at Hillcrest Yard will not be complete. To mitigate these storage constraints, the TTC will take the opportunity to trial increased and expanded overnight service on the streetcar network (Figure 15), including:
  • increasing frequency of service from every 30 minutes to approximately every 20 minutes on existing overnight streetcar routes – 301 Queen, 304 King, 306 Carlton, and 310 Spadina
  • replacing overnight bus service operating on streetcar routes, such as on St Clair Ave West, on Bathurst St south of Bloor St, and on Kingston Rd from Queen St to Bingham Loop
  • introducing new overnight streetcar service on 505 Dundas, which will improve overnight service coverage on a corridor with multiple night-time activity generators and proximity to places of shift work such as Toronto Western Hospital
Recognizing that there may be community impacts and the need to coordinate with infrastructure renewal and ongoing maintenance, implementation of overnight streetcar service on new parts of the network will be subject to engagement prior to implementation.
