Gooooooood morning!

Just walking through the York Concourse at 6:23 am and I noticed what appears to be gravel instead of flooring at the north end of the concourse almost directly under Platform 3 on the lower level. Struck me as odd given that the terrazo is everywhere but here.

Also.. the concourse was virtually empty so I took a few pics for posterity.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the moats won't be lines with stores/restaurants.
I think there will be some sort of retail/food on north side of the York Moat. The area below the south sidewalk of Front Street is open and - when one could last see it - was being fixed up. (The north side of the Bay Moat is, of course, the TTC station.)

I walked through about noon today and it APPEARS that they are pouring terrazzo on the gravel area your photo shows.

I do not think that was what was said; nor that if it was it is accurate but I guess we will have to wait to find out. My guess is that the moats will be warmer/cooler than the parts inside/below the station building but not as cold/hot as outside.

Are the moats going to to be partially open to the outside?

Not the ones that run east-west along the south side of Front St, those will be entirely sealed, I don't think they'll have climate control systems right there but they'll get heat/cooling from the station, hence the middle-of-the-road temperature.

I believe the ones that run north-south on the east side of York south of Front, and the west side of Bay south of Front, will not be entirely sealed and will therefore be around the ambient outside temperature.
