is this the final park design?

Maybe they will be done today. 😊 Don’t blink when you drive by.

I wonder if they will attempt the hard surfaces next? Or crushed stone paths.
I wonder about the water portion? Benches? Lighting?
Garbage cans could take a long time to install.

This seems to be similar to the rendering above. I’m assuming with the tower reconfiguration the building on the north end of the park will be rethought.

From the community centre today.

I’m curious how some parks like this seemingly just get built with little noise, consultation, renders, and other public planning while parks like Victoria Memorial, Rees St Park, Richmond and John park will have years of endless discussions.

Is it just cause there’s minimal stakeholders around this area?

I see a lot of hills in the park they're building and seemingly no real place to install a pond? Original renders showed some type of water area. Also not sure what to think about so many of these tall hills

They are not that high, more like the Berczy Park 'hillocks'.. There is what looks like a central area where a 'pond' might go but if it is I wonder why it has not, at least, been excavated.

Yeah I get that but in the ground it seems like not a place you'd want to sit down? Like there isn't a lot of seating room on flat surface left. I wish they showed a rendering. I feel like this is a temporary measure for now to get sales for the condos.

Is it possible that the park’s being set up for a sales office? It all looks a bit temporary and has been set up rather quickly.
Upon further inspection of the contract @mburrrrr referred to, I guess the park is set to be handed over to the city anytime now — as it’s approaching 3 years since the occupancy of the new LCBO tower.

I hope the end result looks as good as Love Park.
