I predict these won't last very long. They don't seem too sturdy. I went over and gave one of those lights a shake and they seem very wobbly. I'm sure as soon as a child jumps on one of them, they will snap off their base quite easily.

The base does look a lot fresher! I'm glad they restored the stone world map.
I really like that the renovation more or less encourages people to walk up to the leg of the tower. Now, if they could only do something about that atrocious metal maintenance scaffolding! Ugh!

Also, I really do hope some kind of finishing layer is applied to the underside of the new canopy roof. It gives cheap a bad name.

All in all though, a worthwhile improvement. Now we just need the salmon fountain going. It really is great to see in full flood.

It could be all the quarry sites for the various types of stone used in the pavilion itself.

^^ The video claims "At 135,000 square feet, it will be the LARGEST aquarium in North America" which of course, is not true. Atlanta's aquarium is twice that size. How could the CBC get that so wrong?
