Toronto Ontario Line: Queen-Spadina Station | ?m | 1s | Metrolinx | HDR

Has anyone posted an interior schematic of the station before? I cant seem to see anything on the forum page.
If you click on the project’s database page at the top, you can flick through thumbnails of all forum images and you’ll find there are some renderings, which were posted in July.

As a learning opportunity for all, I will not provide a link.

whoever is willing to accept it.

It depends on if it's polluted as well - contaminated soil goes somewhere like the Taro Dump in Hamilton, for example. I believe there are other facilities closer to Toronto like that as well.

If it's clean fill, it goes to all kinds of places. Some old quarries accept it, often construction projects need fill - etc. Something like a large suburban warehouse needs dozens of acres to be graded flat in order to support a 500,000-1,000,000sf warehouse for example - that often needs lots of fill depending on local grading.

I went to the public open house tonight. I font think I learned snything groundbreaking thst many of you don’t already know but figured I’d share ehst I got from chatting with some of the metrolinx planners

Miscellaneous items:

-the trains being used are hitachi so they won’t be subject to any tariffs since they are from Japan.

- they said the key learning from crosstown was breaking up the project into phases snd using different contractors for each. Snd they aren’t paid until they complete their work. Unlike crosstown which had one contractor doing everything

- the stations will be grander than crosstown and less grand than the university extension stations. ( which ended up costing a lot)

- he said the nicest stations will be exhibition and east harbour

-I asked what the plans are to get from exhibition station to Ontario place He said they looked into people movers and gondolas but it Eill probably be a shuttle bus to get anyone with mobility issues and they will build a nice straight walkway for able bodied people
