This is really exciting--I think this will look better than expected once the balconies are up. It's going to gleam.

While waiting outside during the TTC service disruption this past weekend, I noticed how dramatic the balconies look with the undersides painted — Nice!

Very interesting are the solid concrete walls that completely envelop the mechanical levels, now that the scaffolding has come off. When complete, I expect this portion of the building to match the frosted balcony glass. It's also hard to tell where exactly the actual roof slab sits

The concrete walls around the mechanical levels will be hidden behind frosted glass as you suspect, and I expect they will be backlit, although Great Gulf haven't given away what the lighting display will entail as yet.

The roof over the mechanicals will be one level below that very top edge.

Straight sections of balcony glass are irrelevant. What we need to see is the entire section all the way to the mid building glass. Then we will know if it looks as poor as the podium panels do.
