When did they install this new balcony glass? I've been away for the past few weeks?

They must've just started today.

I think they put a few panels up a month or so ago but nothing after that. Hopefully this means the start of all of them but why wouldn't they start on the 1st residential floor?

I was down at Yonge/Bloor for the first time in a number of weeks and was struck by how many people--normal, non-urban density nerds--were stopping and looking up at this beaut. It was pretty great.

Not bad at all. And we get a teasing (subtle) glimmer of how the curved glass can reflect the light...looking forward to seeing how the light plays off those concave and convex portions. That may be the key to enhancing the full undulating effect of that balcony pattern. Exciting times!

For me the big success here is the podium. It's going to provide levels of animation to this intersection, with its retail at grade and residential balconies and outdoor amenity spaces tiering upwards. It's as though a big shiny cruise ship has moored itself at Yonge and Bloor. They really ought to hold a confettied set-sail cocktail hour here every day at happy hour!

Yep, I completely agree. Yonge/Bloor despite its busy-ness has always seemed a bit dour. I think this is going to liven things up considerably.

Totally agree... it's always felt rather dull and staid. Now there's some pizazz and gloss here - which is as it should be.
