Toronto Lower Simcoe Ramp | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

Why does the south lane have a bump out of it like that. Seems bizarre to me.
Because unlike what people above are saying, there will only be 3 lanes + shoulder lane. While shoulder is technically a lane, it will end before the intersection in order to prevent people from using it as a real lane.

Must say I am a bit surprised that they are still putzing around on south side of Harbour Street between York and Bay and have done nothing yet on north side. I am assuming that sooner than later they will be moving traffic onto new south side lanes so that they can dig up the north side and re-do it. I think that it should be quite fast to do as I do not think there are many (any?) trees planned for north side.

How long until that massive parking garage at Simcoe/Harbour is redeveloped? Anyone know who owns it?
It was a Mulroney government infrastructure project in like 1985/86 in the days when Harbourfront used to get dollops of federal cash for capital projects. No idea who is the current owner.

Looking at the ramp today, everything is finally paved, but a lot of concrete sidewalk and curbs to be built. There is no footings for new traffic lights to the south of the off ramp yet, as well the the off ramp.

The current road markings will have to be removed so they can be moved south of the off ramp.

Was planning to go to York St today, but showing someone the city, we went north on Simcoe.
