I heard recently that there are 50,000 Uber drivers in Toronto. How much of the congestion is from those drivers? I notice a lot of them around Scotiabank Arena on game and concert nights.
I remember when the York off-ramp existed, That loop would always get full up. So the problem is not new. And just imagine if we didn't have GO, Up and the subway.
The right lane on the Simcoe off-ramp should be right-turn only. Extending that lane for a short distance past Simcoe was a mistake. Close that little bit. And make the left-turn from Lake Shore eastbound to York into an 'official' two lanes. People already do that, but that's not strictly speaking, allowed.
By the way, Love Park is really nice. Much better use than that loop.
