Very cheap looking based on that. Let's hope the entire building doesn't turn out to be some grey spandrel mess :(

That grey spandrel is only applied on the podium. Remember the scale model? While I would say there's nothing to worry about (for now), I'm sure Page+Steele will give us reasons otherwise.

The upper cladding looks black (or at least very dark grey) which is a relief, as I was expecting an ugly shade of light/medium grey. Black will make it stand out from the surrounding buildings.

Loving the dark glass. Great that builder didn't go with original rendering.

If this is connected to the PATH via 100 Adelaide West to the southwest, doesn't it seem a little disingenious to advertise a subway connection? The nearest subway would be Osgoode station by PATH, which is a little ridiculous of a walk.

It would make sense for there to be a northern connection to The Bay as well. That way Queen station is just a short walk.

edit: Now that I've plotted it on my (in progress) future PATH map, I guess even with a northern connection to The Bay it is an equal walk to either Osgoode or Queen. I've also underestimated how far west this is to The Bay. INDX is south of Thomson Building/Munich Re Centre, which may not be able to host a southern connection.

There is no path connection to Osgoode. You can exit Osgoode into the Four Seasons Centre, but have to go outside to get anywhere else. Presumably, if the connection is to be to the E&Y buiding, the closest station would be St. Andrew, but there would be underground connections to Dundas, King, and Union.

My understanding is that there is a connection planned/being constructed between Toronto Hilton and Four Seasons Centre that would connect the rest of the PATH with Osgoode?

Anyway, I guess that you can't really complain about walking a few blocks underground. It is a shorter and more comfortable commute to the subway by foot than most bus-transferring subway riders have.

Not that I'm aware of. The Hilton would have to give up a ballroom, or maybe that steakhouse, to make that happen, and why would they give up that kind of revenue?

According to the INDX sales centre representative a couple of years ago, the PATH connection would be through the new building 100 Adelaide West (the E&Y building) into the Richmond Adelaide Centre concourse.
