I see why I couldn't upload my posting last night

I fail to note that there are 5 substations in place from Topflight to Eglinton with a possible 6 that I need to check out to make sure, but are they hock up to the system yet?? There is a 7th by the 403 in the process of being built.

Crew were removing the form work for the curbs at Elm Dr with grading almost completed to for the base of the guideway.

Mesh being place for the tracks at the Absolute intersection with rail beside it and waiting ties to be place for the rail.

No concrete base where the crosswalk is to go at Absolute Intersection

I live on Elm--I wish the stop was at Elm instead of Central Parkway. I think there's more density on Elm than Central Parkway, even though Elm is a minor street and Central Parkway (formerly Bloor, many eons ago) is a major road (or at least, well-known).

As an Elm drive neighbour I feel your pain. But central parkway has proposals on the north, south, and east corners of that intersection. So they will see their own development. Elms just stuck between two major roads so I can understand why we’re left out.

Yeah I get it. It's not like Central Parkway is that far. I walk to Cooksville GO without waiting for the Mississauga bus anyway.

I walk on Elm to get the 2 and the 103. I have pushed since day one that Elm was the better location as it had more density and to see more than CP., ML thinks the buses on Elm will move to CP causing an extra 3-5 walk to/from the LRT stop as well too close to the Matthew Gates/Burnhamthorpe stop.

Since the closure of Elm Dr intersection, 3 and 8 have been on detour using Elm Dr E for both directions up to yesterday. Today, 3 and 8 use Elm to CCTT as normal, but now use Elm W to Hurontario, south to CP and then south to Mississauga Valley to get to normal routing.

Both shelters have the same notice that the stop is out of service, and you need to walk to CP and the Vallery to get the bus. Talk about confusing riders and miss info. The Hurontario Shelter should say walk down to CP at Burnhamthorpe to get the 3 and the 8. or to ION plaza to get the 8. 3 is at CP and the Valley.

Why this sudden change with not communication for it? Did the few NIMBY folks on Joan Dr got the route change because of too many buses compared to traffic?? Did a few riders who got on Elm W get the change made?? II could be the case where a few squeals the loudest that has a bigger impact on the many riders. The old change took 5-10 minutes extra travel time depending on the time of day as well traffic. The new change will save about 2-4 minutes at best. if at all.

Another example that continues to show how poor Plan and Scheduling Depart is that is one of the biggest problems the prevent the city having a better transit system and allows Brampton to run circles around it.

You must love the traffic that is a lot heavier than a bus every 16-22 minutes weekday and 22-45 weekend. Lot of traffic from/to the south side of CP on Joan use that one block to Elm.

I take Joan all the time (when driving). The city's fault for not extending Kariya when the school was built. Don't know what they're waiting for.
I have asked that question to the Commissar of Works a few times as well the extension of Webb Dr and get it is in the works and lacking funds for them. Same for the Sq One Dr extension and roundabout to Rathburn

Ended up killing a lot of birds yesterday based on my travel home by car.

OMSF still has a lot of work going that they have extended the fencing by the 407 to the of the yard and not where the sound barrier starts. Landscaping is taking place in that area. There is a flat deck trailer sitting by the entrance with a yellow beam saying 3500LB that could be for the gate that still needs to be built.

The southbound 407 bridge has been backfilled with expansion joints to be placed along with curbs at both ends before road paving can take place. The southbound lanes could be open by the end of May or soon to allow traffic to be shifted to it so work can start on the northbound section of the bridge as well as the guideway on it. If they take the same rate for the northbound lane, it will not be done until this time in 2025. After they do open the northbound lanes, they still have to build the missing section of the guideway on either side of the bridge and push the opening date for the line to 2026 and being 18-24 months opening of the line.

Saw nothing yet for the Hwy 401 overpass with several sections of the guideway north of it still waiting concrete to anchor the rail in place.

Concrete based has been poured at Elm Dr considering it was there at 8:30 am today and were working on it yesterday.

Shouldn't the developers, e.g. the developer of Edge especially but also other nearby projects have paid in to build the Kariya Drive extension? Isn't development supposed to pay for itself? How much can a short portion of a minor road possibly cost? It's literally like 150 metres.

It doesn’t make any sense. I’m guessing with this logic we won’t be able to extend Webb either for exchange district south. Instead people will access the development from burnamthorpe. Of course not. You can’t have new buildings with new tax revenue without new roads and this was a mistake. Crying poor is always the answer.

Out of curiosity what exactly is the square one drive extension? Where would it be?

It is supposed to connect to Eldora Dr and Rathburn as a traffic roundabout and to the north side of Parkside Village that is partly built by the developer since it is needed to service the two phases there. It is between the existing building on Rathburn at Confederation and the two new developments. It will cross confederation to connect to the other phases that were built over the years.

Why should Edge pay for it when it is next to the Eden Park Development that was built over a decade ago and that is why there is a road there now? Eden Park has 2 access with one to Hurontario and the other to Kaniya while Edge will have access to Kaniya and 2 access to Elm.

Correct
If a roundabout was on confederation, it would affect the LRT line to a point with the LRT running thought like I saw in Maze AZ and there are example being done in Europe.

Nothing has taken place at Englewood intersection when I saw it a few weeks ago. There are no sidewalks in place from the intersection to the GO station.

Concrete poured for the 2 curbs at the QEW.

Hurontario is back being a single lane south of the QEW with some work for widening the south bound lane.
