^ Great shot! The 401 looks elevated lol

401 is elevated crossing over the don valley golf course between avenue rd and yonge, so its not an illusion.

Don't know who feels worse today--me or the city? :(

Not sure if anyone else has noticed, as I haven't seen any pics, but the fins have started going up, and are complete on the east side.

Yesterday evening, from Gläs:

I want to LOVE this tower, but those horizontal lines on each floor (venting?) are so irritating, given the strong vertical emphasis of the other facades. It always looks like the vertical emphasis is very (obviously) intended, but that the horizontal one is not. It just clashes for me :(

As it nears completion I like it a lot more (rare!) but I just had to express my frustration.

How far we've come in about 25 months:

jaw dropping! ^^^ holy cow! this thing is HUGE! it just towers over everything.!! it's big city height in a middle of nowhere area! THIS is a big city tower!... minus the big city.

minus the big city.

Owch. That was a low blow man. I know you just came back from NYC and compared to THAT, its not. But relatively speaking Toronto's still a big city, even on a global scale.

If however, your just referring to how it looks in those pictures with that backdrop, than I can forgive you :p

yup! that's what i meant! that particular view/area (yorkville).. a very low-lying area of downtown, so Four Seasons stands out like a boss!
