Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

None of these lines exist in isolation. Cross posting is inevitable

The alternative would be to have the mods move unrelated posts to new threads whenever they pop up.

Personally I'd like to stay away from the overzealous moderator approach.

The reality is that all the lines should be interconnected. The way to serve Malvern is either a separate SRT with a transfer to the B-D subway, or with a bus to an extended B-D subway to Sheppard, or a connected SRT/Eglinton line.

Interconnected, in the sense of having connections with each other: yes.

Interconnected, your context where everything is one line: absolutely not.

Actually, it had hit Richardson on December 24. The map actually says when it is last updated. Speaking of which, the map does not get updated quickly. It takes around a month to update.

Today's (January 6, 2014) is the 12th day of Christmas, Epiphany. Don't expect much work done until after.

Except that its the Orthodox Christmas tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Don't expect much work until after the Orthodox New Year, January 14, 2014. Then Orthodox Epiphany would be on January 19, 2014.

Then its the Chinese New Year on January 31, 2014.

Etc., etc., etc..

There are very few days that the TBM will not be working to keep the project on schedule. They need to be working 7/24 at all times. Will shut down for maintenance as require or an unknown issue arises along relocating it. This included changing the head bits.

There needs to be a better way to keep the tracker live at all times.

All I know is by what people were saying on here and how much tunnelling would be done per day, it seems to be awfully slow to only be at Richardson.

yep it is, the total buried area is only a couple hundred meters. there would be nowhere to dig once you built the launch shafts and station.

Well, when the TBM was launched, they did say it would tunnel 15 meters per day. Richardson to Kane is about 100 meters, so about a weeks worth of tunneling was done since Dec. 24th. Makes sense considering the holidays and recent ice storm probably set things back.
