Let's try a different typology then the air-conditioned, balconied, extruded box.

Found in the Aug 2 edition of NewCondoGuide, page 003, looks like phase two of Imperial Plaza is about to launch...this is a new-build tower...

"In the Blue Diamond proposal, Deer Park United will become a landmark of a new kind, part of an outdoor space that will be open to the public, not just to residents of the condos. The roof, interior and rear parish hall will be removed, and the walls rehabilitated and left to stand on their own, creating a semi-enclosed parkette with paved and green areas. Space for shops is planned in the main floor of the tower, as well as a café — all of which are needed in an intersection that, with several new condo buildings at or near completion already, is underserved by retail."
 
Great to see more editions to uptown they building much better product out here. That's why I invested here myself (end-use)
 
From the National Post article: "The rough-stone facing of the townhomes at the south side hark to the church on the north; it also helps to harmonize the tower with the period houses that line Foxbar."

Wouldn't it be nice if they actually kept and re-used the stone from the demolished wings to clad the townhomes? New stone trying to "hark" to the church wouldn't have the same feel.
