This is the kind of site that 10 years from now, with all of this built out, will be upgrading the interior of the mall while applying to redevelop other parts of the site. This won't be the end of redevelopment here.

I’d imagine once they establish a sizeable underground parking network on the both sites of expansion, they can proceed to demo the two levels of parking fronting Sheppard for a future-future expansion. After Arc Condo was built in the late 2000’s and then the massive Origin Restaurant a few years later, it has been increasingly hard to see the mall from either main streets (the sunken elevation doesn’t help).
Hard to picture how exactly Bayview Village would approach doing it, but perhaps more condos fronting Sheppard with one or two grand entrances. At that point, Bayview Village could be twice the size it is now, and would have to welcome larger and more mainstream brands to fill those spaces - quite the opposite of what it’s known for... but that looks like the direction it’s headed, slowly.
