Re: Absolute Final Phase

The concept for the fifth tower is to be the 'masculin' counterpart to the 'feminine' form of the Marilyn building

Is Stallone modelling for this one?

Re: Absolute Final Phase

Looks like they are rolling out the 5th tower tomorrow....

Attention News Editors:

Absolute launches second tower to meet overwhelming buyer demand
MISSISSAUGA, ON, July 14 /CNW/ - Unprecedented buyer demand has persuaded
the creators of Mississauga's new Absolute Community to immediately launch the
50-storey companion tower to its critically acclaimed 56-storey Absolute
World.
The new tower, Absolute World 2, will be a companion to Absolute World 1,
dubbed Marilyn Monroe by critics for its sensuous, curving design.
"They are Yansong Ma's version of Yin and Yang," says Danny Salvatore,
president of Fernbrook Homes, which in partnership with the Cityzen
Development group is creating the new community. "While the first tower
captures the feminine, the second tower will be its counterpart, still lithe
and romantic in its silhouette but more rugged and perhaps more robust."
Yansong Ma, of the MAD Studio, is the winner of an international design
competition staged by Fernbrook Homes this winter to seek out the best in
international architectural talent for its signature towers. Yansong's grand
vision for Absolute World consists of two unique buildings designed to
complement and enhance each other, each with its own personality, but created
from the same architectural language. Commenting on the design Yansong Ma
says, "They talk to each other and harmonize with each other. There is a
synergy between them, an aura which transcends each of the individual
buildings to create a totally unique and original urban space."
"Frankly we did not anticipate such a response," says Sam Crignano, a
principal in Cityzen. "We had 7,000 inquiries from prospective buyers and
6,000 registered both on line and at our presentation center.
"Because of this overwhelming response from potential buyers for the
first phase of Absolute World, we felt that the right thing to do was to
advance our plans for the next complementary phase even though we still have a
good number of suites available in the first building. Now those who want to
live in Absolute World have the choice of either "Marilyn" or her complement,
and we have enough suites to meet demand."
Both towers will be built at the same time with a construction start
scheduled for spring of next year. Both feature virtually the same interior
suite designs and amenities. The essential difference is in the look: One is
feminine, one more bold in vernacular.
Prices will start at $189,900 for a one-bedroom suite and range up to an
average price of $388,576 for a two-bedroom plus den unit. Penthouse suites
are also available.
Interest in the project has been so intense that the developers have
already received inquiries from prospective buyers as far away as Saudi Arabia
and Asia, says Mr. Salvatore.
"The interest in Absolute World has been unlike any other project in the
history of the GTA," he says. "Part comes from the stunning design. We quite
literally searched the world for the best of the best. Part comes from the
location. Burnhamthorpe Road and Hurontario Street is the premier site in
Mississauga.
"There is enormous awareness internationally that both towers are great
value," he says. "Both are stunning in design; both are at the very epicenter
of a fast growing city in the heart of Canada and both are priced at well
below comparable structures in many other major centres."
The suites cover the complete range of choice from one bedroom units to
one plus den, two-bedroom and two plus den residences. The top two floors are
dedicated to penthouses. While plans call for four per penthouse floor, the
suites can be custom designed by buyers to suit not only their own taste but
their own space needs.
One of the distinctive touches for all suites is the wraparound
balconies. All suites offer deep balconies, which wrap around the entire
suite. Patio doors offer access from all principal rooms. The floor-to-ceiling
windows offer unparalleled views in almost a 180 degree arc.
"The suites have been designed to take advantage of the spectacular
views," says Mr. Salvatore. "In most cases we have followed an open plan for
principal rooms, with some balconies over 300 square feet allowing residents
to enjoy spectacular views in all directions.
"The result will be breathtaking. Sunlight will flood almost all rooms
year round and the balconies offer extra living and entertaining spaces."
Residents will also enjoy their own exclusive lounges, "Club 50" for
Absolute World 1 or "Club 48" for Absolute World 2 complete with terrace on
the topmost floors. They will also enjoy membership to the Absolute Club, a
three-level, 30,000-square-foot recreational facility, which is the largest of
its kind in Mississauga.
Security is provided not only by the pair of manned gatehouses visitors
must pass through but also an executive concierge on duty 12 hours a day in
the sweeping two-storey lobby.
"This is a singular project," says Mr. Salvatore. "It has gained
attention right around the world. Both buildings of Absolute World will be
instant icons, rare structures which will only increase in value with each
passing year."
To see both towers and the rest of the stunning new Absolute Community
visit the presentation centre on the northeast corner of Burnhamthorpe Road
and Hurontario Street, just east of Square One, in the heart of downtown
Mississauga. Telephone number is 905-803-0556.

Re: Absolute Final Phase

Well, the first three phases are still under construction aren't they??? I don't see why they would build all 5 towers at once, even if demand is really high.

Re: Absolute Final Phase

Even at the risk of censorship/deletion, it *had* to be posted for the moment...

Re: Absolute Final Phase

Arnie aside, John's butt is better looking than Yoko's.

As for the two towers, will there not be an associated danger to looking at them together while drunk or stoned?

Re: Absolute Final Phase

I dunno... these towers haven't even been built yet and the novelty has already worn off for me.

Re: Absolute Final Phase

Ganja,

That's because you are looking for your next fix.

Re: Absolute Final Phase

Hmm, two 50+ condos for sale, plus another two planned 50+ condo towers by AMACON for a total of 4, 50 + Towers for Mississauga City Centre.

Now that Mississauga has clearly broken the 50+ barrier, when do you think it will hit 60/70?

Exciting times!

Re: Absolute Final Phase

I dunno FM, but even *I* think 60-70 floors is optimistic for Mississauga.

Why should it be optimistic? Soon there'll be dozens and dozens of ~30 storey buildings...why can't there be a few really tall ones to accompany the horde of medium sized ones? Once al lthe largest available plots around Square One are built upon, developers may be forced to build a small number of very tall buildings rather than a complex of shorter ones.

Two-page ad from today's Ming Pao newspaper (one full-page condo ads are pretty common in Chinese newspapers, but two full-page ads are very rare)

The big white Chinese characters read: "Amazing architectural design from Beijing will be realized in Mississauga- Award-winning design from architect Yansong Ma."

Did Fernbrook actually hold a release for this dude or did they really just introduce it on their website and these ads?
