Brewster: As usual more neat "Then and Now" pictures of Scarborough...
It amazes me how age and foliage can change-and improve-comparisons like these...
It is also interesting to see how many buildings have stayed the same over time...

Thanks again Mike. Scarborough has a bad rap and rightly so I guess nowadays. Growing up there in the 60's and 70's was a lot of fun. 50 years ago Scarborough was fairly small but has grown to well over 600,000. Lots of good memories going to the Scarboro Drive-In with 2 of us in the trunk to save money.

They are near useless at their primary function: being lights. The older style ones are so dim even today.

Incidentally, to this day you can always tell an "ex-BA" station (usually surviving as garages and the like) by the quarter-round parapet detail.
