The family has a "cottage" between Bala and Port Carling. Sorta handy...
At the same time, it doesn't seem like he did much time, if any. Apparently by 1994, he was to the US in 1996. And if he did go to trial in the US and was convicted, it's hard to imagine he'd have been out of jail long enough to be president at Greenestone for six years. (Christopher Breen, his co-defendant, ).
Can't wait to see what the reporters dig up!
My beef with CAMH is that they offer responsible drinking courses to addicts.
I think that is highly Irresponsible and gives addicts hope that they can drink again.
As someone who has relapsed a few times while thinking I could have a few here or there (instantly back to my old ways if not worse), I think that program is incredibly dangerous.
According to this report, Ford told someone he met today that he had completed two weeks of rehab and had six more to go.
Also, an employee at the dry cleaners clarifies that Ford was bringing clothes in to be repaired (perhaps instead of - or in addition to - being cleaned):

Sigh. The mayor being spotted at the dry cleaners made breaking news on the 5 o'clock CBC today. This is where we are at... imagine the it-storm when he's back in Toronto. I don't think we've seen peak-crazy yet!

Also struggling w/the notion of a doctor who’d say Ford’s sartorially motivated outing was “essential.” If this is true. I want this doctor.

@TabathaSouthey @crobins72ca perhaps "essential" in sense that most rehabs force patients to go out in "real world" few hours each day...

@piyachatto @crobins72ca Except they don’t, certainly not this early on, especially if the rest of what’s in that piece is remotely true.
piya chattopadhyay @piyachatto 2h
@TabathaSouthey @crobins72ca agreed-lots of ?'s. All I'm saying it's not unusual for rehabs to let patients out few hours- even this early

@TabathaSouthey @crobins72ca I speak knowing this intimately with two different people who are very close to me and were in rehab recently
Canadian charges were stayed in favour of the extradition, even though he was CAUGHT with 8 kilos of coke. Bet he was never tried in Canada.

So he arrives back from the cottage, errr, rehab, right after World Pride concludes. Perfect!
