Rob Ford's Toronto

In Halifax he was a douchebag, in Coquitlam he's Rodman...

Coquitlam mayor on Rob Ford: He's the Dennis Rodman of mayors, though that may not be fair to Dennis Rodman.

Still more proof, as if we needed it, of Rob and his bankers' hours.

Waiting for details of the Mayor's schedule today. No sign of him at City Hall.

Its fine, he's probably just taking some "quiet time" in the washroom of an On The Run somewhere in Etobicoke. He'll tip up eventually, spouting gibberish.

Gotta admit - MetroMan's latest posts (while being music to my ears) have thrown me for a loop. I mean, we knew that
(A) Ford is a lousy Mayor: Buffoonish, unable to work with others (let slone build consensus), ignorant and uninformed, rude, bullying, and just... Stupid.
(B) Ford has serious issues with drugs AND alcohol.
But with these new revelations, that he is (C) a man who has engaged in criminal activity while in office - or, more accurately, criminal activity *leveraged* by his position as mayor, he totally wins the Unholy Trinity Award!
I agree with the speculation about large-scale contracts being inappropriately awarded. For a man with ZERO insight to suddenly have such strong feelings about garbage, casinos and subways seems a little suspicious.
Amazing, though, how he and his brother screamed so loudly about his honesty, and against corruption in others. Did they think we wouldn't notice? Did they think that would really work to deflect suspicion?

Hi,
From Durham Region. I have been following this forum for about a year and everything you guys are doing is great. Your knowledge on issues and in trying to get Rob Ford out has been awesome. From the outside looking in I wish you nothing but the best in getting him out. Have visited Toronto several times over the year to downtown hospitals and it is a great city with great people (minus Fords and we have a few of our own in Durham Region). Hope you get the best mayor in October.

Hi also long time lurker. Found you through reddit early last year when mainstream media wasn't getting me the answers to why this unsavory human being could hold any political position. Fantastic forum! I live hours north of your fine city but I have family in the downtown core (some raised in Etobicoke) in and they consider me (ha!) the RoFo expert as I peel back the onion for them. Most of the info gathered right here! Quick story: early Dec 2012 my wife and (4yr old) daughter were flying out of Pearson and bumped into Rob Ford walking around the terminal by himself. She rode behind him on an escalator and noticed he was holding a ticket in his name to Florida. Knowing my twisted obsession with this man, she asked if he would take a picture with my daughter. He obliged and gave her a fridge magnet and business card. This was when Ford (pre crack-gate) disappeared for a week. A friend and writer at Toronto Life suggested he was seeking rehab down there near the family condos. I put this pic of Ford and my daughter on our fridge held up by his magnet (as a joke). My daughter now 5 asked that it be taken down. She said "He smokes crack and is a bad man" Anyways love the forum and I think JimiT's onto something with Deco...wasn't Doug quoted in the media that the police have been sitting outside Deco watching? I think this was around the beginning of Project Traveller. And how about Randy? Does he just sit around and play cards with his Mom and sister all day? The eldest brother not involved? Trolls aside I think Ford is starting to circle the drain.

Any thinking person would notice. But I still come across people who buy into his lies lock stock and barrel"sigh". So, yeah, his deflections do work on those. Drive me nuts.

In church on Sunday our pastor told us from the pulpit "that he wasn't a bad man he just has an addiction problem." I do some work in the churches food bank. I started looking for another job on Monday. I can't work with crazies.

Some context - TPS is going to have to get in line. Assume an officer is required to transport to protect chain of custody.
The Star article says the police made the “assistance order for Apple Inc.†back in October. So one would assume that if there's a 7 week long process for the information that it would have happened by now.

What I don't get is the article says "On Nov. 29, police obtained a search warrant for seven cellphones and “1 computer from Traveller.†Project Traveller was a massive year-long guns-and-gangs operation in northern Etobicoke."

The police raid happened in June and a search warrant wasn't issued for the computer until November? So it sat there in the evidence room for months? Or did they return it to it's owner and then took it back? I'm confused.

Maybe the Brazen 2 cops need a warrant when they want to look at evidence from Traveller?

I too wondered if cops needed a separate warrant because it's a different case. Or maybe Traveller cops seized it just in case and haven't yet needed extra evidence that might be on it, so haven't tried for a warrant yet?
