I'll throw this out there for anyone with more Google-Fu and battery life than I have left tonight. The profile pic on Dawe's Facebook page has six likes. One of the names Google-links to a friend seeking information on her disappearance through Twitter. Another is a Thai name. I couldn't turn up any easy links on the others, except for one seeming to be from Ontario. Also, current location now shows as Daegu, South Korea. Can anyone find more dots out there to put together?

It was there at 2:30 Sunday morning, was gone the next morning and back again until at least 4am Mon morning.

You don't need that much time to make a delivery.

This thought came into my head when McRobb surfaced and it became clear she likes married men with status and $$: that she went to Greenestone when she found out Ford was there, for some fun and excitement in her life. She's not shy, right? Which means she goes for what she wants. Ok farfetched I know...

Not so far fetched from where I am.

If she hangs around RoFo long enough, keeps a detailed diary and take some pics and vids, she could make some money selling that. Won't make her a millionaire but certainly more than a couple years' salary working at the bank.

She might also imagine the notoriety might carry her to some D list reality show. Hey, Kim K and Paris Hilton started with sex tapes and look where they are right now. A girl can dream, no??

Any time I consider giving him the benefit of the doubt on this issue, I like to remember the moment in the infamous "Fat Fuck" video where he realises that he has an opportunity to bully someone and his face just lights up with glee as he moves in on John Barber.

really? out of everything that stands out for you? Ford may be acting like a bully, but Barber was unprofessional to call him a fat fuck. and some would say Barber is the bully by fat-shaming. He should have said right away "you're right, I'm sorry I said that because I was frustrated by you changing your answer, etc..." and then he could go back to challenging him on the original issue.

I get that Ford is contemptible and all that, but you don't get to call him names in a professional capacity. Daniel Dale never (publicly) called Ford a fat fuck (and god knows he had reason to).

Owner versus owners is common enough sloppiness. Especially, people tend to use "they" for a business, even though a corporation is a singular "it".

As Deco is the lessee of the vehicle, someone with authority on behalf of Deco could OK its use by someone who falls under the terms of the lease and the fleet insurance. That may not include Leeann at all, but the issue for the police is purely whether the owner of the vehicle is going to take the position that she stole it; the police are not going to get into the issue of whether the lease and fleet insurance terms would have actually permitted Deco to allow Leeann to use it.

Ford is an officer of Deco, at least nominally, so Deco allowing him to use the Escalade almost certainly would be within the terms of the lease and fleet insurance, without regard to whether he works only 5 minutes a month. (It is normal for employers who lease vehicles for the use of 'management level' employees to allow them to use their so-called 'company cars' for personal reasons too.)

i thought rob hadn't done anything for deco since being mayor. should he have a deco vehicle at all?

Kordas never followed up on his complaint but the Star's policy is to leave that note up once a complaint is made.

really? so why didn't, say, the fords formally complain to at least get a disclaimer like that on the articles about them? they also could have not proceeded, but that notice would be there forever for all to see?

Back to Dawe for a second. This Facebook profile that suddenly appeared in November after the Star started asking cops questions. You see the profile pic of her supposedly in Asia. There's not one comment on it. If you were missing for almost a year and then suddenly appeared on Facebook to show you're alive and well in Asia wouldn't there be tons of comments from friends and family saying glad you're ok on that profile pic? I suspect cops created this profile for some reason!

One student asked in French about the province's relationship with municipal government, and after a brief answer from Wynne, the boy asked her how Ford could be stopped.

After giggling from both fellow students and adults in the room subsided, Wynne replied that the city gave the deputy mayor Ford's authority "at the moment because Mr. Ford has problems."
