But I've never seen a City vehicles drive like that in all my years.

I believe at one time they worked a "power shift". That is, they could go home when they finished their route. Not surprisingly, that lead to a few short-cuts.

But, from what I understand, they now have to work their full shift, so there should be no need to rush.

Unfortunately, accidents still happen.

Interesting comment: "Yes that is a dangerous ramp on a good day. No I would have not driven that packer on there when the yard was another 5 minutes through the city and it’s 5:30 am and I’m being payed till 7:00 am . Yes all those packers are notorious for being top heavy. Yes I have driven that packer 236195 and many others so I know what I’m saying."

I remember him being quoted as saying his family hated him, at Muzik, but I've also read that he said terrible, insulting things about Renata last week at the bar. I haven't seen anything specific, however, although one woman said they were too crude to repeat. If that's so, seems strange that they haven't been mentioned.

In the audio the Sun published, someone asks him about his, um, 'relations' with his wife. In a garbly, drunken way, he responds in a perhaps overly descriptive fashion. It's hard to make out the exact phrasing. It's in the recording if you want to wade through that muck. Long walk for a small sip though. But, yes, the fact that it's small potatoes in The Ford Follies is shocking in and of itself.

Because they hate him! I'm sure it felt better to get all blitzed and be surrounded by people who at least pretend to love you. Except Bieber, of course. You can always trust Bieber to give it you straight, man. It's not always what you want to hear, but it's what you need. All hail Bieber's tough but fair love, for it will ultimately save our wayward Mayor.
Funny! And, mandatory...

I just read on Gord Perks Twitter that GFL have had their safety rating drop to conditional. Looks like underbidding for the contract is catching up with them faster than they can get new business.

As a resident of Perks' ward, it would not surprise that many of the complaints he's fielded deal with rude behaviour from the guys and seemingly willful traffic obstruction accompanied by less-than-cheerful hand signs. Wednesdays are a nightmare for drivers out here, especially in winter. As bike-riding pinkos, it doesn't affect us much. But the drivers look steamed. Plus, the GFL crews often blithely drive the wrong way on one-way streets. Fast.

I'm not sure that's really the explanation either. They could be moderately intelligent, at least some of them, but on the whole they really seem to want to buy into simplistic answers to complex issues. That takes a certain amount of denial and stubbornness, but it's a failure of analytical thinking, not necessarily a sign of low intelligence.

This is what I meant by saying that his supporters are simple-minded. An inability to think analytically, critically, and abstractly makes one simple-minded.

Fail...I don't care how educated you are.

Sorry this is about ten pages late...some of us don't work at a desk. ;)

Seen, as in first-hand. And I'm talking about literal aggressive driving (like tailgating and hopping lanes in an aggressive manner.), not careless or negligent.
