Of course, it all fits perfectly - the admission about drug use is a past issue that he has already dealt with, it's all just above average drinking (below alcoholic) limits that need to be taken care of. Thankfully the physiological impacts of addiction aren't as easily wished away.

As to stripping him of his powers, well, considering the emperor is already wearing no clothes, there isn't much else that one can strip.

This is just pathetic. These guys are basically screaming 'show us your tits' at Spring Break to a girl who thinks it makes her pretty. It's just base spectacle at this point.

I don't think that SA would have to worry about being sued for defamation because Ford has admitted to smoking crack and the truth is an absolute defense in a defamation lawsuit. As you mention Spirit Airlines has taken down the Rob Ford crack mention in its advertising...
Could it be due to pressure coming from Ford supporters because of the embarrassment?

I agree with your thoughts on any kind of defamation of character lawsuits that may be coming
out of Rob Ford's problems and with what he has done over time and especially recently to his
own reputation he would not have much to stand on if he sues anyone for slander...

If there are lawsuits filed or pending will the taxpayers of the City of Toronto be liable for any
payments in these matters? I mention this thinking of the "deep pockets" that lawsuits of this
type sometimes target...So much for Toronto's taxpayers if the City has to pay damages in these
type of suits which goes up against what Mayor Rob Ford stood for...the City's citizens...
