Tomorrow's Toronto Star has on it's front page:

"Ford "crack video" peddler caught in raid"

http://twitter.yfrog.com/g05mfstj?sa=0

The story is not up on the Star website yet. It will be interesting to see if this sheds any light on the mystery of what happened to this video.

Speaking in particular...

There is a thing called Crown Disclosure. The Crown Disclosure rule is that Crown must disclose all material information that is in its possession or control, even if the evidence isn’t going to be called at trial or is inculpatory or exculpatory.

Here’s what I know:

• Siad possessed the video.
• The police got the video when they arrested him, using a search warrant.
• The Crown office was then given the video.
• The Crown disclosed the video to lawyer Brown. He has it.

Will the video come out anytime soon? I don’t know.

But what I do know is this: the video is in the hands of many people, now. And it has been seen by many more. And it shows Rob Ford smoking what appears to be crack cocaine.

It is real.

Meanwhile, to recap things that have been going on-

Ford's support is holding up strong especially in Scarborough, where his SUBWAYS 4 SCARBOROUGH and off-season campaigning has produced 60% approval ratings. He's stumped hard for the OPC in the byelections in Etobicoke-Lakeshore and Scarborough.

With the results last night:

- Liberals- 2 seats
- NDP- 2 seats
- OPC- 1 seat

Note that even with the Liberal weakness and Ford's popularity in Scarborough, it has still failed to materialize strongly. Is Ford Nation just as apathetic as we are? Is it nearly as strong as Ford says it is, or is it because voters found Hudak and the OPC platform unpalatable?

Regardless, excellent results- voters showed the Liberals their displeasure, while also showing the Conservatives (Hudak especially) that they do not deserve to be in power yet.

Prior to the results being announced, CBC provincial affairs specialist Robert Fisher said Thursday's byelections were important for the PC leader.

"He's been fighting this internecine warfare from within his own caucus — people not necessarily happy with the fact that in the last general election, he snatched defeat from the jaws of victory," Fisher said, adding that it could reaffirm him as man who can get results for the party.

It's now abundantly clear that he can't get results.

At this point, if Hudak doesn't exit through that proverbial door, he needs to be pushed.

Ford supporters are now switching from the "Ford didn't smoke crack" line to the "I don't care if Ford smokes crack" line. Lots of rationalizing going on, but nothing too special given the mental gymnastics we've seen from them already.

The fact that it's not typographically accurate is really bothering me

Little hard to read. High res over here: http://torontoist.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/20130730mightandmagictoronto.jpeg

Your retina should enjoy it Johnny

Thank you very much.

There is much to add to the map (most are beings from their respective cultures' mythologies to reflect Toronto's diversity (yes, I know that Might & Magic is limited to primarily European mythologies)):

- Cedarvale Golems (not the same as the Port Lands Elementals)
- Chinatown Qilin
- Corso Italia Werewolves
- East York Cyclops
- Fairbank Obeah
- Koreatown Dokkaebi (Korean goblins, analogous to the Japanese Oni)
- Little India Rakshasa
- Oakwood-Vaughan Mapinguari
- Regent Park Zombis (not to be confused with zombies)
- Ryerson/Yonge-Dundas Ogres
- Thorncliffe Park Djinns
