Yes, back when it was still the uber-WASP store where Teddy Roosevelt kitted himself out on his way to the Spanish American War, and was the land of the $400 croquet set. The space sat empty well into the '90s.

Those vintage A&F leather animal-stools are a big hit with collectors these days.
The old Dunhill store on Bay always seemed like it belonged there.
Of course, I was more of a Big Steel Man myself.
Re: RL....I feel they could boot their l'il Cdn hometown division, Club Monaco out of its present location at the Department of Household Science building, and open a truly outstanding corporate-owned-managed flagship RL store, akin to their fifth Ave Rhinelander mansion store.
It has the right image combination of platinum location/exposure and impressive Edwardian edifice. I don't see this could miss. Although it is stepping on the toes of a couple of very close and good customers (Holts, Rosens)
I've never been in an A.F store--am I missing anything?
Re: Club Boredom on B(l)oor St West: they are being kicked out, by their landlord, aka the UofT. UofT Art Centre moves there soon--this Fall?
Mustapha: A&F station a handsome, topless doorman to greet customers? I'll have to drop by sometime! But ... ewwww ... a "fragrance"? A kid got on the 504 at Parliament the other day, drenched in cheap cologne that smelled like fly repellant. I had to move.
Nothing beats a nice custom shirt. I'm addicted. I don't recall whether T&A did them, though - my man's in the TD Centre.
Good lord, Mustapha, we are the little peacock, aren't we?
